Oracle Cloud

Close faster, and be able to prove the number.

Planning, consolidation, close, and reconciliation in Oracle Cloud for multi-entity and joint-venture structures — built on entity and account structures that hold up first.

Draft for review — Module coverage and version statements on this page are drafts and go stale fast. Confirm them against what OneVision currently staffs and supports.

You are probably here because

  • Your close runs on a chain of linked workbooks only one or two people understand
  • Intercompany eliminations are manual, so every restatement means starting over
  • Forecast and actuals live in different systems and never quite reconcile
  • Audit requests take a week because the working papers are somebody’s spreadsheet

How we think about it

Oracle Cloud finance projects fail in a specific way: the consolidation gets built on top of a chart of accounts and an entity hierarchy that already do not work, and the new system faithfully reproduces the old confusion faster. The tool is rarely the constraint.

We fix the structures first, then build the consolidation, then run a parallel close and reconcile to the penny before anything gets decommissioned. Nothing is retired on faith.

What we do on Oracle Cloud

Consolidation & close

Multi-entity, multi-currency, ownership-based consolidation with automated eliminations and an audit trail on every rule.

Planning & forecasting

Driver-based planning built on drivers your operators actually control, connected to the same numbers finance closes on.

Account reconciliation

Reconciliation and transaction matching that turns period-end evidence gathering into a control rather than a scramble.

Structure remediation

Chart of accounts and entity hierarchy rationalization — the work that has to happen before the consolidation is worth building.

Read Oracle Cloud in Oracle’s own words

We are independent, so it is worth reading Oracle’s own description of the products next to ours. Oracle will tell you what the software does; we will tell you what it takes to make it work in your business. Both are useful, and the gap between them is usually where the project lives.

Questions we get asked

Do we have to fix the chart of accounts first?

If the chart of accounts is the reason your close is slow, then yes — building consolidation on top of it just automates the problem. We scope the remediation as part of the design rather than presenting it as a surprise later.

How long does a consolidation implementation take?

For a mid-size multi-entity structure, typically three to five months including a parallel close. Structure remediation, if needed, is the variable — and it is the part worth doing properly.

Can this work if our ERP is a mess?

Partly, and it is sometimes the pragmatic order of operations — Oracle Cloud can give leadership a reliable consolidated view while the ERP work happens underneath. But be clear-eyed that you are compensating for the source system, not fixing it.
